So we're not at our house. We're somewhere else. I have been a lot of places this summer! I was in Missouri, then I was in Salmon. Now I am in a place called Arizona. We arrived uh... the other day. We drove and drove and drove, and then we were at this place called Glen Canyon Dam. It was really cool. Here are my dad and Auntie Poo-poo in front of the dam.
I had a lot of fun climbing down the canyon.
After that, we drove and drove and drove some more. I saw a groovy elk!
My parents decided that we should camp next to a big hole in the ground.
So we did.
My Mom was really worried that I was going to fall in.
But I didn't.
I had a pretty fun time.
My Dad was pretty crazy and he climbed out onto a rock in the canyon.
A bunch of Japanese tourists were very impressed.
After we left the Grand Canyon, we drove and drove and drove some more, and we got to a house where my Great-Grandma lives. She has a pool!
It is really really hot here, so we have to stay inside all day, unless we're swimming. Here is me with my Great-Grandpa!
Okay, so what has happened since my Birthday Party? Ummm...
My Tutu came to visit me
We got in the car and drove ALL day and when we stopped we were in Missouri
I hung out there with Tutu and Mom and Auntie Cheri and some cousins
Then we drove all day again until we got home. I was very relieved to see Daddy again after that trip. I wasn't sure where he was when we were gone. It's always good to know where your daddy is!
Let's see.. what else have I missed... Oh- for Memorial Day Weekend, we went to Grandpa's cabin, and I went dirtbiking.
We had my Daddy's brthday party while we were at the cabin. Here is the cake my Mom made for him.
Looks just like pile of donuts, doesn't it?
Oh- another thing that has been happening around here is that Mom and Dad are making me my own personal zoo. A few months ago, my only pet was a goldfish. Now, all of a sudden, we have a dog
Today we had my 2nd birthday party! It was pretty fun. My cousin Dillon gave me a pool, and we spent most of the afternoon playing in it!
My Mom made me a really cool cake, actually she made me 2 cakes, since I'm 2. One of them is even shaped like a 2!
The other one is shaped like a tractor, and I wouldn't let anybody eat it, since it is a tractor and I want to play with it. Mom is going to give in and let me drive it around any time now...
Here I am blowing out the candles on my tractor cake. I was pretty scared when everybody started singing Happy Birthday to me. It was just very loud, and I'm not sure I dig the attention.
After the cake and ice cream, it was time for presents, which everyone knows is the best part about birthday parties.
Of course I got the obligatory books, not that I am complaining. I love books, and one of them was actually made just for me by my Mom.
My Grandpa Wheeler sent me a groovy truck
here I am getting it dirty (breaking it in).
I think that the best thing about turning 2, is that your parents start to realize that you are not a baby anymore, and start to respect your birthday wishes. I have been dying for a chainsaw of my own, and this year, my Mom and Dad finally decided I was old enough to have one!
Don't worry! I know that you should never use a chainsaw on a person! Just on cars!
I have also been wanting my own lawnmower, since Dad won't let me play with his. My Uncle Scott and Aunt Denise hooked me up!
In all, it was an awesome party. I need to go sleep it off now!
The other day we got in our truck and went fishing! We were gone for 3 days, and we caught a lot of fish. Here is my Dad with the first big fish he caught.
Here is my Great-Uncle Roger with the REALLY big fish he caught.
My Mom is mean. She tried to make me kiss the fish!
Here is Auntie Poo-poo with the tiny fish she caught.
Here is me catching a fish with my Dad.
I also caught a fish with my Mom and the fishing pole that my Uncle Scott got me for my birthday. My Dad tells me I am a natural fisherboy, even though I get distracted sometimes and forget to hold on to the pole.
Here's an itty bitty fish that my Mom caught and the dog tried to eat.
Me and Poo-poo did a lot of stuff together.
I was throwing a lot of rocks in the water, but it didn't scare away any fish!
I was a big bed hog when I slept with Mom and Poo-poo at the hotel.
Our room was pretty comfy.
On the last day we were fishing, we heard a big boom and saw lots of smoke, so Dad and Grandpa and I went to investigate. Someone's campfire got away from them and melted a fifth wheel camp trailer. By the time we got back with the camera, this is all that was left...
I got a good sunburn and a black eye, but I can't wait to go fishing again!
