It's All Relative

So some people came and visited us last week, and apparently they are related to me. There was a kid my age- his name is Arthur, and he and I even speak the same language! It was nice to have someone that understands me for a change.

Here we are discussing the economy - I know, to you it sounds like gibberish, but believe me, I think I got him to agree with my point of view.

Mind you, we didn't spend his whole visit discussing important grown-up things, we also found time to behave like babies.

I have never taken a nap in the guest room before, but I have to say, the bed is mighty comfy!

Auntie Cheri was also visiting for a few days, and Arthur and I decided to try on he shoes, and as they say, walk a mile. We walked like 20 feet and then decided that high heels are TORTURE!

Arthur was also here for Easter. We got matching hats!

Here is Arthur's brother, Sam. He also got a hat, but I guess he didn't like it. Or maybe he didn't like having his picture taken.

Here is Arthur's dad, my Great Uncle Bruce. As you can see, he is almost as big of a dork as my Dad!

Hmm... maybe a bigger dork... I don't think my Dad has ever worn leiderhosen.

Tubby Time

I like baths. I actually really like water in general. For some odd reason (at least my Mom says it's odd), I enjoy having my hair washed. I also really like bath toys-but really, who doesn't?

And then there's splashing. You CAN'T tell me you don't LOVE splashing!

Apparently my Mom does not love splashing... Weirdo!

New Shoes and Other Important Stuff

My Auntie April, (whose name I have trouble pronouncing, to the great amusement of my Mommy)... Actually, let's just pause here and review how I pronounce "April"...

It sort of takes me a minute to get to the point in that video, doesn't it?

Anyway, recently Auntie April went to Hawaii and saw Tutu. My Mom and I went to pick her up at the airport, and she brought me a present from Hawaii! New shoes!!!!

These are special shoes that you can only wear when it's warm outside, and my Mom has hidden mine, because I keep trying to wear them out in the snow. Here I model the shoes by walking around my house!

The other cool thing about Auntie April coming back from Hawaii is that she brought a really cool toy. I had a lot of fun playing with it, and I was REALLY sad when she left and took it with her.

All well, I'll bet she comes here again!

I Like To Paint!

I really like to paint and fingerpaint. My Mom has lots of different paint for me to use, but she doesn't let me do it nearly enough.

I think a good technique is to smear all the colors together so it looks sort of tie-dyed...

And it is important to make lots of handprints!

Helping My Dad is Fun To Do!

Now that I am getting to be a really big boy, I am able to help my Dad with a lot of stuff. I am really helpful, too - not just annoying. For example,

My Dad's slop game has really improved since I've been helping him hold his cue stick,

Also, my Dad makes log furniture. Here we are making a computer desk,

I am such a good helper, that he trusts me to do the fine finish sanding!

Dad says it sure is nice to have a free helper!

My Bear is Beary Nice

Sorry to all my many fans for the long hiatus. I had the flu and was really sick for over a week, and my Mom didn't think it was good photo material.

My Mom was entered into a drawing for something (not really sure what) and there were a lot of cool prizes, but the one she ended up with was a giant bear. Poopy for her, but now I have a great big bear!

My Mom wants me to keep it in my room, since it is roughly 3 times my size, and very hard for me to drag around

I have discovered, however that through a combination of dragging and pushing, I am able to maneuver this bear anywhere around the house. This seems to really annoy my Mom, especially when I get the bear somewhere dirty, like the garage, and then she has to vacuum the bear before he can come back inside.

That's what toddlers are for, though, right?
